I was enchanted from the moment I came up the stairway of butterflies and, after spending the afternoon with a wonderful group of earth loving/ people loving people , I was reminded of what is at risk. Of course I know this already, I read the paper, but this was different, I felt it in my essence–we have to keep fighting for the environment, for civil rights, for decency.
The installation inspired me to keep up my involvement, to fight harder and not let the current climate turn me into a soft bellied caterpillar, curled up to protect myself from all the injustice and negativity flying around me (ha, ha– lots of butterfly references, another effect of the installation!)
